National History:
The Professional Porch Sitters Union was founded in Louisville, KY in 1999, with Local 1339, by avid porch sitter Crow Hollister, with the motto is "Sit down a spell. That can wait."
Since then, many other PPSU Locals have formed nationally, including:

PPSU Local 213 - Jessieville, AK
PPSU Local 41916 - Fort Collins, CO
PPSU Local 150 - Waterville, ME
PPSU Local 1881 - Mountainair, NM
PPSU Local 244 - Location Unknown
PPSU Local 138 - Westbrook, CT
